On 26 July – just in time for the summer holidays – we’re launching our new Family Flavours cookbook, targeted at families with children to encourage them to eat healthier food, including their 5 A DAY!
We know it can be difficult for parents, which is why we’ve developed this FREE resource which contains seven delicious recipes that all the family can enjoy. It also focuses on making mealtimes fun; the cookbook includes lots of tips to get children involved in the cooking process.
We want children to get excited about their mealtimes and encourage them to be hands-on in the kitchen. Cooking can help create healthy eating habits in children as they become inspired to try different food, including vegetables.
Currently 1 in 3 children are leaving primary school overweight or with obesity. This cookbook will support parents to get their children to eat a balanced diet and help them to develop healthy habits that could reduce their risk of living with overweight and obesity now, as well as reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) – including cancer – later in life.
We want as many families as possible to benefit from Family Flavours. So, for one week only (26 July – 2 August), we're giving away FREE copies to anyone who signs up on our website: https://www.wcrf-uk.org/uk/health-advice-and-support/resources-cancer-prevention/healthy-cookbooks/family-flavours-cookbook
