arteries

As part of National Cholesterol Week (well its past but hey ho its still important so here it is) i thought i would quickly talk about the importance of looking after our arteries, as well we only have the one. if we dont it can become seriously damaged. This in turn could affect the chances of having heart disease, and reducing life expectancy.
the image below demonstrates how an unhealthy lifestyle can cause blockage in the arteries, this can reduce the blood flow, which can cause other health problems.  Exercise and a healthy diet can control this,

All this can be done by making small changes:
swap high fat, high sugar for lower alternatives
aim for 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week
reduce portions, and eat to sustain, not to feel like somebody should carry us to bed!!!
