Cholesterol week

This week is national cholesterol week. Its all about raising awareness about the dangers of bad cholesterol in our bodies.  There are two types of cholesterol good and bad. To be scientific LDL and HDL. The LDL (low density lipoprotein) is the bad one, the one we do not want. The HDL (high density lipoprotein) is the good cholesterol.  Junk foods and the ones containing high amounts of sugar can be high in LDL cholesterol.  Having a high LDL cholesterol can increase the chances of heart problems later on life. This is important that we have regular cholesterol checks in order to make sure its all above board.
